Snowmobiler Hospitalized After Accident

Virginia, MN (Northland’s NewsCenter) — A snowmobile driver is hospitalized tonight following a crash just North of Virginia.
The accident happened on the Laurentian Snowmobile Trail.

According to the Saint Louis County Sheriff’s office…the accident happened when a snowmobiler drove into the back of a snowmobile that was stopped.
Authorities say the stopped snowmobile was waiting for other riders to pass.

The driver who hit the stopped machine was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital in Duluth for treatment.

No word yet on their condition or identification.

Alcohol is said to not be a factor.
