Yaz, Yasmin and Ocella
The popular birth control pills Yaz and Yasmin are contraceptives that are manufactured by Bayer Healthcare. These pills have been linked to serious and potentially life threatening side effects in women. Yaz and Yasmin along with the generic version, Ocella, contain a type of progestin called drospirenone which has been considered the cause of these side effects.

Bayer’s advertising of these products was misleading consumers because it exaggerated claims about the effectiveness of the drugs and minimized the risk.
